n Nj Ni ' ii of ' ' 'A' Junior Achievements Listen! Tug of war means to pull with all your might and main and win. The Junior class of '17 are working up to that point. Our purpose is to enter as Seniors without a stain and fully prepared to do our duty as such. Let us consider what the year 1917 has brought us. We have made marked advancement in athletics, dramatics and social functions. We have furnished two commissioners and several deputies as our share to Student Government. With such advancement and spirit, we intend to clasp the rope with all our might, and to be hailed into Seniorism with happiness and success. JI.PlLlI'I1b, TS. Soph. Stuff Successfully landed on the second round of the Educational Ladder, through untiring efforts, zeal and eagerness, and having outgrown some of the absurd and preposterous habits of Freshmen, we now proclaim ourselves Dignitied Sophomores. We rightfully claim students who are talented in Dramatics. Athletics, Amateur Play Writing, Scholarship, Debating and Music. We furnished two commissioners, military officers, a naval recruit, and the editor of the High School Notes. Most of our class have settled down to a specified course which will better concern their future. and as a united body will work and uphold the honor of The Yellow and the Bluef' VV. JI. Bartlett, '19. Freshman History The first Crescent night came and went. It was not nearly as bad as we thought it would be. The first event of importance was the tug of war 'between Freshmen and Sophomores. VVe won, conferring the first honors to our class. A few of our members have been interested in athletics. Fagan and Boam were members of this year's Basket Ball Team and were very popular. We were represented in Declamation by Marion Larkworthy, who won first honors in this district. Now we come to the end of this year's work. May we grow to sur- pass any other class in the History of the School. D. L. Kerzy, '20. Page Fourteen
