Victory or die, the phrase that once inspired an army with courage and spirit, now inspired a small un- known Red and White JV basketball team to capture the coveted Camden City Championship award for 1959. Making school history, the hus- tling champs went all out not only to defeat but to massacre their op- ponents from all points. Lack of height, always a worry, was soon fogotten as the junior players proved that practice makes perfect. As the season ends We claim one reminder: Our JV of today is our Varsity of tomorrow. Al Morton outjumps a Merchant- ville player for an easy two points, as teammate Ted Kompa stands ready to give his assistance. Merchantville players can only stand and watch because with this jump shot Paul Zachary has a sure two points. on the 2.7

With the enjoyment of the students as its primary aim, the league meets weekly after school.
