The charging Bisons put their best hoofs forward last year, as they came across the home plate with a count of nine wins and eight losses. Coach, Al Litwa, came through with an almost entirely green team which he de- veloped into experts. Although the Bisons captured only second place in the City Series, they displayed a spirit that was lost in the past years. With the acclaimed pitching of John Bogacki who garnered a pitching award and the hard butting of John Stelmach, the Red and White team marched on to school fame. Wonder shortstop, Walt Carey, sought and captured the Bruce Vitolo Award tor being the most valuable player of the year, while outfielder, Len Baldyga, con- tinued his spree of base stealing. Togeth- er with them A1 Morton, Bill Sherlock, and Walt Nicgorski worked to put S.J.H.S. on the victory test.
