Such affairs as the Sodality, Thanks- giving, and Homecoming dances have been anticipated by the entire student body. The pupils have their apprecia- tion for the dances by their outstand- ing support and attendance. Music for the dances has been supplied by local bands such as the Red Notes and Skylarks. Make way for the Queen . . . and for her court. Her 'majesty Ioyce Gross rides in style after being crowned Homecoming Queen during field les- tivities, Her lovely ladies-in-waiting are Monica Zawadski, Sylvia Piont- kowski, Lillian Kaminski and Frances O'Byrne. I.N.I.T.I.A.T.l.O.N The frosh were met at the entrance with many suprise-s on Initiation Day. Helen Adarnski, Sylvia Piontkowski, and Veronica Wrotny help the under- classmen with their special bonnets. The freshmen seem to be enjoying themselves, Good sports!

Q Obi! SAOOZ md? Striving toward a more intimate acquaintance with Spain and other Latin-American countries, the Spanish Club sponsored a Pan-American pro- gram, featuring Spanish songs and dances. Among other activities assumed annually by the club are the Pinata Fiesta, the stamp drive, and various mission programs The organization has taken an active part in boosting school spirit by seeking student participation in its programs. ,Mir ing S.E.N.I.O.R P.L.A.Y. -ul' For Pete's Sake, a three-act larce, was presented by the students of St. Ioseph High School, towards the latter part ot last year. The play, describing the hilarious antics of Peter Pepperdine and his taithtul churn, Bill Bradshaw, involved the acting abilities of twelve characters. Fearful of being excluded from the will of his Aunt Sarah, Peter attempted to earn some easy money by renting the Pepperdine mansion to Mrs. Clarkston and her daughters Nadine and Peggy, during the aunt's absence Mugsy, Peter's Latin coach, Dean Murglethorpe, his uncle, Iohn Boliver, and Dupont Darby become involved in a series of hilarious problems after the Clarkstons' arrival at the mansion. The situation becomes even more complicated as Iasmine, the negro servant, and Malvina, an inquisitive reporter begin to investigate. 'SP-of'
