Being one of the more important organizations of the student body, the Student Council has for its work the governmental functions and enactment of laws for the common welfare of the students. Consisting of homeroom representa- tives and school officers, it serves as a link between the faculty and the stu- dent body, keeping constant harmony in school affairs. By discussing topics of interest and by solving many prob- lems in its assemblies and council meetings, the group has attempted to schedule programs for student partici- pation such as the Science Talent Search, American Education Week, and the Teens Against Polio Campaign.
