E S 0l 8UQl Patefuf Ring Day is a memorable event in the lives of the juniors. It is then that they are presented with the circlets symbolic of their loyalty to the school. The class ring is something special, some- thing long-awaited by the over-anxious juniors. It is a visible sign expressing their promotion into the ranks of the upperclassmen. It makes them mean something. For the juniors, Ring Day serves as a mile- stone in their journey through lite, reminding them that they have successfully achieved a goal. But it is also a forewarning, announc- ing the hard struggle which yet lies ahead of them. aww- it Af: 3 Ht? With this ring . . . Besides the theoretical training presented in formal education, the students at S.I.H.S. receive the proper spiritual nourishment required to build strong qualities of character and leadership. Daily Mass, lenten services, rosary devotions, and many other religious activities are provided for the students. Upon participating in these functions, they receive grace, both supernatural and actual-grace to guard them safely through the day, to put every spare moment to good use, to respect their teachers and superiors, and to be kind to their fellow-students. All this, and more, awaits each student daily, As he enters the building, he meets a new World, one unlike anything which he may have witnessed previ- ously. The Priests and Sisters present the facts. The students absorb them and mold their lives into shining masterpieces to be looked upon by everyone as perfect models of Christian youth.
