They have been of great help and support to us in their own individual ways. For this reason, we feel Mrs. Margaret Jones and Mrs. Dorothy Webb deserve this honor. Mrs. Jones has been the office secretary for the past three years and has always been there with a cheerful smile. She graduated from Camden Fairview High School and went to college at Ouachita Baptist and Southern State College (now SAU) in Magnolia. At Southern State, she met her husband, David Jones. They have two sons. Matt and Mark. Mrs. Webb has been an English, History, and Religion teacher here since 1980. She has also sponsored the Sophomore Class and the Cheerleaders since she has been here. She graduated from Mar- ianna High School where she played basketball for the state champi- on Porcupines. She got her BSE degree from UCA in 1979 with a double major in English and Social Science. She received her masters degree in History from UCA also. Mrs. Webb is married to Jimmy Webb and they have seven children. Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Webb, because you have given us a part of yourselves in helping us now and preparing us for the future, we would like to say thanks and we love you by dedicating the 1984 edition of the Bulldog'' to you. 3 MR. After the cast was selected in January, they began to memorize their lines. Three weeks be- fore the play, they started to practice on stage. The entire class helped out with props and cos- tumes, and Mrs. Wenger was there every night urging and correcting. The success of the play was known by the laughter and applause of the audience, and the good time had by all who par- ticipated. 10 SENIOR PLAY Cast of Characters Gordon Warren . Nabholz; S. Woodson; P. Szymanski. The Cheerleaders of 1983-84 began their year by attending camp at the University of Central Arkansas. They received many awards in- cluding six blue superior ribbons and two gold superior ribbons - one for their pom-pon routine and one for being nominated to compete for camp champs. They also received a trophy for first-runner up in pom- pon routine and another for being Camp Champs. This goal of Camp Champs had not been reached for many years, and the squad was very excited with the honor. Along with their many other awards, the squad won, for the second consecutive year, the Wal-Mart Cheerleading Championship, for which they received a first-place trophy plus a cash prize. The squad was very busy this year. Along with the Pancake Break- fast, the girls sponsored Homecoming. Decorations for the theme Winter Wonderland turned out beautifully, and a good time was had by all who attended. This year's squad was a group of great girls who did their best all year long, in spite of many difficulties. Keep up the good work Cheer- 46 leaders!! NI I CHEERLEADERS 47 JUNIOR BOYS STANDING: Mgr.
