The Senior Class of 1979 had a difficult decision to make when choosing their yearbook dedication this year: picking the better of two wonderful people. Therefore , we proudly dedicate the 1979 Yearbook to Theresa Creech and Kathleen Smith. Mrs. Creech, one of the senior class sponsors, has been irreplaceable to us. Her interest in our futures is evident in the fact that she arranged an A.C.T. prep- aration course which not only prepared us for our col- lege board examinations, but also provided us infor- mation about the alternative to college. She also en- thusiastically and creatively helped us with our Senior Float and patiently and successfully directed our senior play, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. Theresa Creech graduated in 1968 from McAuley High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, and in 1972, she graduated from Edgecliff College, Cincinnati, with a speech and Theater Major and a B.A. in English. In 1977 she began working towards a M.S.E. in English at the University of Central Arkansas. Miss Smith will always be remembered as a dedi- cated and conscientious teacher of math and a friend and fellow worker who helped us with the responsibil- ities of Spring Formal and Junior-Senior Banquet, and in the National Honor Society. Kathleen Smith graduated in 1966 from Sacred Heart of Jesus High School in New Orleans, and in 1970 she graduated from University of Dallas with a B.A. in Mathematics. She received her Masters of Science in mathematics from the University of Central Arkansas. She also attended North Texas State University and University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Mrs. Creech and Miss Smith, because you have giv- en us a part of yourselves in preparing us for adult life, we would like to say thank you and we love you by bestowing upon you what we feel is a great honor, the dedication of our yearbook. 4
