The Catholic Students' Mission Crusade, encourages students to take part in the Church's activities. The CSMC stresses a program of prayer, study and sacrifice for its members. The Council and officers plan the various fund raising activities. The high-light of the CSMC’s year is the Mission Bazaar. Members also helped collect for Unicef and teach retarded children religion clas- ses. C.S.M.C. The National Association of Stu- dent Councils accepted Inter-com into its membership this year. The National Honor Society is composed of Senior High School students who main- tain at least a 3.0 scholastic average. The other qualifications necessary are, Leader- ship, Character, and Service to the school. N.H.S. projects this year included painting windows in the art room, refinish- ing an old piano for the school, and teach- ing religion classes on Sundays. The C.Y.O. sponsors activities such as hayrides, bingos, and dances in the summer. During the school term St. Joseph's C.Y.O. hosts and attends deanery meet- ings with other Catholic youth in the area. Annual- ly in the spring, members attend the state C.Y.O. convention. Safety Council The Safety Council makes inspections around the school and takes precautions to make it safer for our students. It strives to maintain school loyalty in class as well at games. Dur- ing the '68-'69 season, the Pep Squad cheered at games, sold balloons, made posters, helped in planning Spirit Week, and sponsored the Homecoming Dance. Sister Ivan Marie is the Pep Squad’s sponsor. Sports Banquet The Annual Sports Banquet is held to honor those who have par- ticipated in the athletic activities of the past year.
