The years of childhood, when once past, are past forever. It matters not how ardently we may wish to live them over; it avails us nothing. So it is with the other stages of life. The past is no longer ours. It has gone beyond our reach. What we have made it, it shall remain. There is no power in Heaven or on earth that can change it. The record of our past stands forth in bold characters. There it stands and one day we shall give an ac- count of it. The present moment alone is ours. Today is a day which we never had before, which we shall never have again. It rose from the great ocean of eternity, and again sinks into its unfathomable depths. 2 Beforratum Just knowing he cared ... has helped. His beliefs, his courage, his love for man- kind is why we the Seniors of 1968 dedicate this yearbook in his memory. We only hope, that life can be one- half as memorable as the memory of just one man, Robert Kennedy. Do something worthy of your powers. He who moulds iron when he could shape destinies, or guides a ship when he could direct an empire, fails. Success consists in never being discouraged, but in ever moving forward,—cheering, helping, being your very best, and leaving the world the better for your life. 8 Seniors “Be Americans. The records give proof that months of hard work and diligent practice were not spent in vain. Each athlete set a goal for himself to achieve before the end of the year - to run faster, or jump higher, or shoot baskets more accurate- ly. Through hard work many of these goals were reached and some surpassed. It's this type of dedication that will spur men to greater things - to higher goals. Guest speaker was Coach Wilson Matthews.
