W J, 4 C0-captains Don and Jim. , NDER the tutelage of the new headcoach, Jerry Sauve, the Blue Jay Eleven opened the grid season with a 25-6 win over St. Ladislaus. Brezavar penetrated pay dirt twice only to have both runs called back. Scoring more last- ing TD's were Oliver, Eusebio, Scrafano and Halkey. In their second game the boys in Blue and White met the St. Ambrose team under rather unpleasant atmospheric conditions. Coming from behind, the boys from Ambrose managed to scuttle the Blue Jay dreadnaught and swim away a 19-12 win.
