Our l6'isl10,v Twice honored vvas our school by the presence of our bishop and, on both occasions, it was at the Congress of the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine held in the classrooms of our three school buildings. Usherettes from Saint Joseph's directed visitors -to the various panels of the conven- tion. His Excellency who greeted the guests in a general assembly in the auditorium said in part, l hope that this congress will strengthen parish confraternities and societies . . and . . it is imperative that teachers actively participate so that many souls may be saved . . Our Grade Advisers For four years, our senior advisers-Sister Margaret Vincent, Sister Mary Avila, Sister Elizabeth Irene-have followed with interest and concern our intellectual advancement from our freshmen days. Besides pouring oil on troubled waters, and guiding our course through our high school years, they have planned and ironed out snags in our program, kept and checked our records, scored averages and decided sequences, and were public relations in operation between ofticial and subject teachers, the medical department and the general omce. Each of the tour years have grade advisers who carry out the same program of helping under- classmen to carry on capably and eFticiently. Sister Miriam Augusta, Sister Saint Eugene, Junior Advisers, Sister Catherine Maria, Sister Irene de Lourdes, Sophomore Advisers, Sister Francis Audrey, Sister Regina Immaculate, Freshmen Advisers.
