Margaret Lavin lights candles while Margaret Geddes, Carol Brereton,4Mary Morrissey, Madeline Marron, Patricia Karrney, Mary Chini, Roberta Cernigliaro, and Sheila Donahue prepare for a Legion meeting. Promotion of Catholic CATHOLIC ACTION. Every week Claire Woodfare and Catherine Volpe assist at the office of the Propagation of the Faith by putting their secretarial knowledge to a practical use. 'WP' MARY'S WAY. Maria Alvarez, Virginia Burke, Maureen Doyle can be seen reading from a handbook. Action LEGICN OF MARY In all parts of the world there are branches of the organization known as the Legion of Mary. The promotion of Catholic Action by the performance of the spiritual and corporal works of mercy is the purpose of the organization. At St. Josephs, Legion members through prayer and good works volunteer their services to hospitals, homes for the aged and inirm, and to orphanages of the diocese. Since St. Joseph's has twelve Legions, students are given the opportunity of paying homage to Mary by prayer and spiritual reading any day of the week. With Mary as their guide, members strive for the Legion' ary goalvpersonal sanetification and the love of fel' lowmen by service.

KT. SECOND SESSION. After the Seniors attend Holy Mass at eight o'cIock in the school auditorium, the Juniors and Sophomores begin their Retreat Day with Mass at nine o'clock. The Freshmen start their clay at St. Boniface Church with the Holy Sacrifice at nine o'clock. GETTING PARTICULARS. These students having signed for a private Retreat at Precious Blood Monastery are getting last minute instructions from Sister Mary Martin. SISTER SA INT PAUL Religion, History, Retreats, His- tory Department STAYING OVER. Elizabeth Walsh, Dorothy Marrone, Carmel Capellini, Anita Milaccio and Carol Kaminski leave school for a weekend stay on a private Retreat.
