7106125 The growth of our school, both with regard to enrollment and accommodations, is little less than phenomenal. It is hard now to imagine that the opening of St. joseph's in 1904 took place in a small frame building and that the registration totaled six students. It was in 1912 that the cornerstone was laid for the new four-story building next to the con- vent at 342 Bridge Street. The succeeding years, with their ever increasing enrollment forced the administration to find rented space in the Brooklyn Law Building on Pearl Street. Forty-two years of growing brought the stu- dent body to one thousand and witnessed the removal to the ten story structure which occu- pies the southwest corner of Bridge and Wil- loughby Streets. In 1956 a third building was added when the Willoughby House at Lawrence Street was pur- chased and completely renovated with the latest modern equipment. This newest building con- tains eight classrooms, a library for the use of the Freshmen, a Biology laboratory and a cafe- teria. This is the newest of the Freshman buildings. Located on Lawrence Street directly behind the Parmentier building. it has an oflice for the assistant principal. Sister Mary Gonzaga: a completely equipped Biology laboratory and a cafeteria. It is thoroughly modern and contains every latest facility. The two buildings pictured on this page constitute the Freshman domain. The building, below, located at 342 Bridge Street, contains seven classrooms and a fully equipped library for the use of the Freshmen. E

After the Graduation Mass at Saint Boniface Church, the seniors are the guests of the seventh termers at a Communion Breakfast in the school cafeteria. lt..1 fx 92am e e Early in the Senior term. the symbolic ring of Seniordom was presented to the girls. The cere- mony took place in the school auditorium where the rings were blessed by Father Lawrie. ,s S , Q, :Q Seniors and their escorts enjoy themselves at the Senior Dance. The refreshments, fine music and general excite- ment afford pleasure to all the girls and lovely memories to look back upon in later years.
