FOREWORD We present our 1959 edition of the Palladium reflecting something of our life during our years at S. J. A. - with the hope that it will be an inspiration to our readers, and a reminder for ourselves to live up to the high ideals of our Alma Mater. We as Seniors are picking up our swords and starting to fight an endless battle, a battle against the godless world of today. Godless because there are so many things and beings which are against our Divine Creator. We as Students have been taught to love, honor and to serve God. We shall do all these things by picking up our swords and fight for what we firmly believe. We will have a great and difficult task ahead of us. But we feel that God will give us the grace to persevere to the end. So Forward Christian Soldiers and may God ever be with us. Page 2 DEDICATION We the entire Senior Class of '59 wish to dedicate this 52nd Palladium to Our Lady of Lourdes, in Memory of our beloved Chaplain, the Rev. Edward Dempsey. Our Lady has taken us by the heart and shown us the way, just as Father Dempsey had taken our minds and intellects and molded them into good Catholic tools of Our Divine Lord.
