Our girls have been sweating blood the last few weeksg come game time, no team is going tobeabletostaywithus. So says the girls' Varsity Bas- ketball Coach, Jeff Moore. Coach Moore's optimism is not groundless with seven of his eleven players return- ing from last year's varsity team. They are Annie Broca, Norma de los Santos, Magda Gonzalez, Margaret Lukefahr, Astrid Sanchez, Bertha Vera and Becky White. The rest of the squad is composed of Colleen Cantu, Patricia Garcia, Rosalie Garcia, and Laura Perez. According to Coach Moore. the girls to watch P i 5 .,..' this season are Magda Gon- zalez, Margaret Lukefahr, and Bertha Vera. Their first game will be here on November 19 against San Isidro. The Junior Varsity will follow the same schedule as the Varsity team. According to their coach, Miss Christ- ine Jacoby, the outstanding players are Lynne Gaudi, Dianne Hargis, Bridget Leyendecker, and Alicia Vera. The rest of the JV squad consists of Celina Barrientez, Mary Bateman, Liz Bewley, Norma de la Garza, Donna Grasso, Melanie Lowden, Melissa Lowden, Cathy Rivera, and Janet Veeninga. This years Eighth grade team, under the direction of Miss Cynthia del Castillo. consists of Cess Besteiro. Kathy Cox, Sherri Horner, Lisa Lukefahr, Ana Mar' tinez, Annalisa Martinez, JoAnn Perez, Tracie Polzin, Monica Rousett, Patty Salinas, Terri Vair, and De- bbie Woodall. 'I'he Seventh grade roster consists of Sandy Eidinger Sara Black, Christine Fair, Sandra Gonzalez, Elisa Manrique, Jo Anna Marks, Claudia Olvera, Michelle Sevier, and George Ann Wilson. Miss del Cas- tillo also coaches these girls. Both Junior High teams will open their season against San Isidro on Nov. 19 there. They will both follow the same schedule. '
