' 3 -5 Moments to Remember Through The Years It was a sunny mormng 1n September 1952 Enthus1asm and Splflt were ours as we approached St Joseph Academy for the f1rst tlme as Fresh men Th1S was the Sprlng of our h1gh school l1fe and llke Sprlng fresh and verdant, we were about to beg1n a venture 1nto a new phase of l1fe one we had dreamed about and talked about for a long tlme The f1rst days were very dlscouraglng and we felt qulte lncompetent and 1nsecure amldst the super1or a1rs of our new assoc1ates Soon we were royally welcomed wlth the tradltlonal In1t1at1on We were rel1eved when lt ended and we settled down to the routlne we learned to love Days lengthened 1nto Weeks weeks 1nto months and the tlme for our f1rst soc1alfunct1on arrlved the Chrlstmas Party work, worry but f1nal trlumph and success Bolstered by the pralse and adm1rat1on faculty and students, we bhthely sa1led through the remalnder so dehghtfully d1d the one year blend 1nto the other We were Sophomores now and found the sk1es bluer and the warmer As all l1v1ng thmgs grow strong and bloom we too of the of our sun grew strong and self rellant We delved 1nto a new f1eld of learmng and found lt as refreshlng and pleasant as a summer shower But our days of summer were numbered, and the f1ngers of Jack Frost drew us nearer to h1s 'doma1n , where we would rule as .Tumors Stxll we had one f1nal trlumph a p1cn1c a last1ng trlbute to those who had reached the goal that was now w1th1n our s1ghts But 1n school even as 1n Nature Leaves must fall and flowers must wlther ' The seed had been sown now came the tlme of harvest The knowledge we had asslmllated 1n past years was gathered and class1f1ed for future reference The harvest was abundant 1ndeed, but among the essent1a1 graln were scattered the pleasant frults past efforts of soc1al act1v1ty culm1nated 1n one grand frnale our Mard1 Gras the b1ggest and best ever . .... , . . , 9 . , . , . . -- -- ' , l Freshman year, and the summertime came upon us before we knew it, , .
