Jenny Myers and Mary 13 lien hesperance help their history class cele¬ brate the last week of school by providing a cake and games New social studies classes were added to the school pro¬ gram. Some of the additions were one- semester courses. Seniors had a wider variety of sub¬ jects to choose from to fill their needed social studies credit. Some of the cours¬ es were Russian Studies, World 1 iisto- Current Issu es, Sociology, and Psy¬ chology. The girls who were studying China in their World History 11 class had an authentic Chinese meal. The American Problems classes studied the presidential candidates, primaries, and campaigns of the 1972 election. Freshmen studied World History I to gain a greater knowledge of foreign countries. Students took part in creat¬ ing projects that helped them to under¬ stand the different periods of history which they had studied. Juniors studied American History to see their country in action from the be¬ ginning of its existance until present times. Beth Janssen looks for her place in the world. 15
