Art and art appreciation instill in the student a love of beauty accompanied by knowledge of design, color, and perspective in the former, and a knowledge of the essence of greatness in the latter. Academy students who take these courses enter con¬ tests, visit exhibits, and together learn its many facets, developing a true love of art and the need for expressing oneself. 28
