SOPHOMORE CLASS . . . President Elnora Fiacco . .- . Vice-President Dorcas Guhring Carl Cochi . Angelo Macci . What is so rare as a day in June? Then, if ever, come perfect days, And heaven tries the earth if it be in tune, And over it softly her warm ear lays. Whether we look, or whether we listen, We hear life murmur, we see it glisten, Every cloud feels a stir of might, An instinct within it that reaches and towers, And groping blindly above it for light, Climbs to a soul in grasses and Flowers. From James Russell Lowell's The Vision of Sir Launfal . Secretary . Treasurer As the summer sun shines over the Fields and gardens which have reached the half way mark of their full maturity, so also the members of the Class of 1946 have reached the half way mark of their goal. One outstanding member, Angelo Macci, served as the Varsity Basketball center and several others were very prominent in other contests and sports. Elnora Fiacco, an active member of the Library Club, has been selected by the Margaret Reaney Memorial Library as an assistant librarian. Another of our classmates, l-larry l-layes, left school in the early spring to join the Navy and was assigned to the Sampson Naval Training Base. The Frosh-Soph l-lop was held May 5th in the high school auditorium with music furnished by Leon Jeffer's orchestra. We pause to make mention of our students in their summer flight. A Freshman Sophomore l-lop on May fifth is evidence of this. We have contributed for Red Cross Duffle Bags and have done well in the sale of satmps and bonds.
