Brent Melville “Who Me? I'M not doing anything Matt Viles laughs as Karl Steen tells him about his love life . . . Last chapel, the dress code, St. J. L.I. weekend, and winter carnival are just some of the traditions at St. Johnsbury Academy. As incoming students learn, the Academy thrives on the customs handed down through the years. Unlocking these traditions is the key to unlocking our memories of this school. For instance, no student will ever forget our dress code. Whether we liked it or not, each morning every boy diligently tied his tie and every girl dressed as though she was stepping out into the working world, only to be informed that his or her choice of clothing was not acceptable. Pep chapels awoke the student body on Friday mornings during the football season. The band played, and every class would try to yell Go, go, go, go, go! louder and better than the other classes to claim the spirit stick. However, no pep chapel could rouse exitement and enthusiasm in the student body the way that the pep chapel before the St. J. L.I. game could. The entire
