Foreword Umty IS one of the four essential marks or characterlstlcs of the Church of Chrlst Accordlng to the Will of Christ all the members of Hls Church are to be one that IS unlted in professing the same faith in offering the same sacrifice and in obevmg the same authority Recently our Sovereign Pontxff has issued a call for unity 1mong all Chris tlans Bv means of an Ecumenlcal cJ0l1I'lCll which lb 1 meeting of Ill Chrlstlan Bishops our Holy Father plans to promote under the impulse of Charlty Truth Umtv and Peace As members of the Mystical Body we have an act1ve part to play 1n order to 1l'lSlll'6 the success of the forthcoming Ecumenlcal Councll We do share in this work in so far as we accept the truth the truth of Gods Word Our Cathollc truth implies 1n every actlvlty of lrfe It was not for us something yust to be admired but rnstead we have leamed to live a l1fe based on such truth We have become aware of the tremendous freedom such a wav of hfe offers In the various actlvltles of our high school vears we forgot our 1nd1v1dual1sm and yoyfullv united for 1 common goal Work done hand 1n hand with one mind and heart was the only weapon we used 1n our fight for unity Lastly we have known peace As children of God we trust ln H1m for all things to be successfully accomphshed in us Without Christ we could never fulfill the tremendous role of Catholic womanhood We need Him to strengthen us 1n our weakness to en courage us ln the defense of principle This childlike confidence rooted in a reahzatlon of the eternal practlcalrty of a Christian 11fe will be the foundation on whlch we w1ll grow into more perfect members of H1s Mystical Body 4 ' v 5 . , . . . . , . . . 7 7 '- 9 . 7 , a . education has played a major role in leading us to the realization of what that , . . , ' ,.
