Juniorate The Junior Postulate is the remote preparation for a life dedicated to God. It is the public declaration of the will to eventually profess the three sacred vows, poverty, chastity and obe- dience. Young high school students lead a life composed of work, play, study and prayer for the honor and glory' of God. Giving their all, young girls strive to please their Spouse by of- fering themselves as an oblation to their Creator. Perhaps the greatest homage is their youth with its exuberance lending an intensive consecration. What greater gift can be given? As joan Sorrentino holds the statue of the Christ- Chilcl, Patricia Kearns, Mary Anne Purello, Suzanne De Fabiis, and Veronica Stephens joyfully prepare His Manger. Here, we find the true meaning of the First Christmas -the inner peace which comes when we find Christ. ' S What no snow? But the weatherinan said . . . Alas! Two shiny new sleds will be idle and eight fuzzy pairs of gloves will make no snowballs today It seems as though the postulants feel that the mere anticipation and donning of those earmuffs were enough fun Mary Anne Purello has found a friend - Shirley is a whole foot and a half shorter! Michele Brown, Linda Crow- der, Veronica Stephens, Joan Sorren- tino and Linda Hughes seem to find the situation most amusing as Sr. Teresita wonders how she'd look in black. 66

That they all may be one Supplementing the scholastic aspects of school life is a cultivation of specific in- terests in various fields. In conjunction with academic studies, We develop more fully our particular scope of enjoyment. This is possible through a focus on such realms as dramatics, art, foreign languages, music, language arts and the missionary field. Though personalities are mingled and subjects diverse, each extra-curricular activity has its common end. A sense of oneness exists, as all efforts follow the same path. We are all grounded on the strong foundation of faith. The union is more than just that of school friends. Com- mon goals are strengthened by common ideals. We possess the finest basis of union possible, the truth which is Christ. This unity is issued forth through each individ- ual as all hands act simultaneously under the guidance of His.
