SEASON SUMMARY The Men's Bowling league expanded this year from fourteen to eighteen teams. The league was split into two conferences. each having two divisions. The top two teams in each division qualified for the playoffs on the basis of total points, allowing eight teams to make the playoffs. Twelve of the eighteen teams were composed of school fraternities. DPU brought in five teams, the Indians came up with four. and Sigma Chi provided three. The other six teams included Animal House. the Six Packs, the Strikers. Cloke and Daggers. T.B.A. and the 69ers. The guys bowled at Counhy Lanes on Sunday mornings from February through April. The final round of the playoffs was a rematch of the pre- vious season, with Animal House meeting T.B.A. fThe Bowl- ing Associationj for the league championship. The results. however. were reversed from the year before. T.B.A. knocked off defending champs Animal House in a very exciting match. T.B.A. was lead by Mike Fiore, Don Minick. Bob Pepe and Al Vigliano. Animal House was represented by Tony Bianca. JoJo Fierro, Frank Mazzara and Robert Pee Wee Morron- giello. T.B.A. advanced to the final round by defeating the Strikers and the Indians. while Animal House defeated the lndians and the 69ers in the first two rounds. Individual awards were given to Kevin Mihalek fhigh aver- age with 2Olj. Pat DiMeola Qhigh game. 279. and high series. 7001, and Bob Juliano fhigh sparesj. ln short, cooperation was the key to the success of the league. and all of the guys helped make the league a good one.
