BARTLETT RANGERS The Bartlett Rangers is a military society dedicated to the improvement of physical, tactical, and leadership skills. The society was organized at CUNY and later revived at St. Iohn's when the University moved to Staten Island. The organization is named in honor of General Charles G. Bartlett, a distinguished Army officer of the late 1800's, who resided on Staten Island. The society sponsors two training exercises per semester which encourage the practice of their motto, Proficiency in the Field. Membership in the Bartlett Rangers is open to all students at St. Iohn's. 'TS 1951.-is S
