The Tae Kwon Do Club of St. Iohn's University was founded in 1973 and has expanded its membership to sixteen full-time members. The club receives its instruction from Mr. Michael Dealy, third degree Black Belt. Under the presidency of Gene Walsh, the club has engaged in a number of intercollegiate competitions and has given several exhibitions of the mar- tial arts during the year. They compete with such schools as Princeton University, New York University, Brown University and Fordham Univer- sity, The United States Military Academy and Cornell has enabled St. Iohn's University to earn their rank within the Tae Kwon Do discipline. There are presently five yellow belts, two green belts, a purple belt and a brown belt in the club aside from the beginning white belts. One Hundred and Sixty-One

554444444444-54254554444 DELTA KAPPA DELTA Delta Kappa Delta presently consists of sixteen active members. They have partici- pated in such school activities as intramurals and a St. Patrick' s Day Green Cake Sale. One of their most beneficial endeavors was a car wash which they co-sponsored with the Lambda Chi sorority. The proceeds of this car wash went to the Leukemia Foundation. Foremost on their social calendar was their first annual Christmas party for the sorority sisters and their guests. The sisters hope to fulfill their motto: Diligence, kindness and devotion to St. john's University and to each other.
