He Spoke With Authority-The Headmaster said we would beat Lawrence Central, our tirst game ot the season, and we did--tirst time in eleven years. Under the leadership ot the Senior and Iunior Class officers, the Student Council accomplished a great deal this year. The school year was sparked off by pep rallies, car caravans, victory parties and, of course, by our spirited cheer leaders, who developed so splendidly under Mrs. William Davis' guidance. Our social lives were enlivened as the Council sponsored the Sodality Dance and the Football Dance. Color and excite- ment were at their height as we danced merrily in our costumes at the Mardi Gras Ball-and later promenaded our fair ladies under the arbors of the colonial gardens. Mugs, name cards, tickets and tuxes-the ball was always moving. With their eye on the tuture, the Council persuaded the Senior Class to subscribe lflllofo to the Senior Class Gift- the 1960 Class Scholarship, the means by which many Prepmen of the future will find Prep lite possible.
