O I A Prepster is not long at St. .lohn's until he comes under the influence of the humble, venerable son of St. Vincent De Paul- Father John Liney, C.M. In his role as teacher, Father Liney pours out the wisdom of hisexperience: outside the classroom he willingly solves the problems presented by Students or Instructors. As a priest, teacher, or adviser he does the work of St. Vincent by molding minds and forming character. Not only today's Prepster has benefited from Father Liney's priestly zeal, but also many former St. .lohn's men. This is mani- fested at every Alumni gathering. It is then that former students remark that the moral and academic training received from him has been carried into their chosen careers and professions. We the Senior Class deem it an honor and privilege to dedicate this year's Prep Shadows to Father Liney--the wise teacher, the generous priest, the true Vincentian.
