Whenever fun and frolic is the order of the day, Pat is usually around. This well liked Prepster is an interesting conversationalist and has maintained a high scholastic rating at the Prep. Pat intends to enter the field of dentistry. Bill's flashing smile has been a familiar sight around the Wigwam during his stay. A regular attendant at all social affairs, and his friendly disposition places him high on the popularity poll. If personality spells success, we'll be hearing big things from Bill in the near future. PAUL JOHN HAGGERTY Intramurals I, 2, 3, 43 Band 23 J.V. Base- ball 2. At a first glance .liggs may seem to be an extremely quiet Prepster, but we know better. His ready smile and generosity have endeared him to his classmates. After graduation Paul intends to enter the busi- ness world. THOMAS CHARLES IRWIN Intramurals I, 2, 3, 43 Speech lg German 3, 4, Tennis 2, 3, 4, Swimming l, 3, 4. Big Tom has won fame at the Prep through his efforts on the swimming and tennis teams. Socially as well as athleticlly, Pancho has been an active Prepster. His school spirit, good marks and many friends, marks him a sure-fire success in his future endeavors. Cutest RONALD JOHN HIGGINS Biology lg French 23 Latin 2, 3, Intramur- als l, 2, 3, Moore Honor 23 Student Council I, 2, 3, 4, Committees 3, 4. His many friends at St. John's know Ron to be exactly as he appears, keen and intel- ligent, modest and deserving. Add to this his pleasant smile and you see why he's so popular. To be remembered is to be praised and Ron will not be easily forgotten. Best All Around Outside of Athletics JOHN ALOYSIUS JOYCE Intramurals I, 2, 35 Latin I 5 Mathematics 2. John, who hails from Springfield Gardens, is the gem of the History class. Quiet and unassuming he is destined to go far, as his many friends at the Prep will testify.

Bob's scholastic ability has been proven by constant appear- ance on the Heaclmaster's List and member- ship in the Moore Honor Society. Bob, the refugee from Jackson Heights possesses a competitive spirit in athletics aside from being a proficient student. The possessor of a magnetic personality and likeable nature we're sure he'II reach success. EUGENE THOMAS DIVER Intramurals l, 2, 3, 43 French 3, Track 3, 43 Football 35 Biology l. Gene is God's gift to the women. Although small in stature his handsome countenance is irresistible to the young ladies. Gene plans a career in the navy, and we are sure that within a few years Admiral Diver will make the headlines. Jim, better known as the Ladies man, has obtained an enviable scholastic record at the Prep. Jim's greatest pleasure ih in extensively uti- lizing his Webster-made vocabulary. Never too preoccupied to flash a smile, he has proven that quick thinking coupled with sparkling humor, makes enjoyable company. Blitz is truely one of the scientific brains of the class. He will long be remembered, by his classmates for his ability to debate with his teachers. John intends to further his education at Notre Dame University. Larry's spirit is best exemplified by his mem- bership in the cheering squad. In this capacity he has kept the stands alive with spirit. Larry is also known for his class- room debates. Another immigrant from Bay Ridge, Mac is a good-natured combination of ambition, humor and ability. His timely remarks have enlivened many a class. Gerry has proved himself both as a student and an athlete. His popularity is attested by his election to the Presidency of the Student Council.
