His friendly personality and willing- ness to work has certainly been a great factor in the success of many school activ- ities, Dick will attend Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute where he will procure a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. Dick, although one of the brains of the class, still remained one of the boys dur- ing his stay at St. John's, His ability to have the homework everyday amazed his fellow students. Tom is speed personified. His quick wit has disrupted many a teacher's plan. A stalwart of the track team, Tom has gained many laurels for the Prep. We feel certain that the downtown branch of St. John's Unl- versity will have a valuable asset in the presence of this Prepster. Quickest THOMAS GORDON CORRIGAN lntramurals l, 2, 3, 4, Mathematics 4, Committees 4, Tom's timely jokes and witty remarks have made many a class enioyable. His caretree nature and sincerity has gained a number of friends, Tom will take his talents to St. .lohn's College where he plans a career in teaching.

Deuce Sheridan started his rise to tame as a stellar performer on the hardwood, With the junior year came the realization that halt of our high school career was over, We were immediately dazed by in- tricate Physics calculations and experiments. Yet, we still found time tor co-curricula activities. We shall long remember Ron Austin's oration ot On The Wire for which he received the Junior Elocution Trophy. We were thrilled by the great line play of Tom Sweeney and the spectacular pass receiving ot Bill Dwyer in the Turkey Day Classic. Frank Bausch rose to the position of Sports Editor ofthe Red Owl, while Andy Sichenze was now Staff Photographer. Tom lrwin and John McAneny lent their talents to the Tennis Team to capture the Eastern Tennis Tournament. Finally we came to our most cherished goal, our senior year. Despite the tact that we had hoped and prayed for this day, we now were sorry that it had come. We realized that this would be our last play, our last boat ride, our last dance, our last athletic contests, our last everything at St. John's. We were determined to make every instant count. Ron Austin and Gerry Bennet starred in Luciters Lodgen, Pat Gilmartin was named Editor-in-Chief of the Red Owl, while Dick Brostowin took on the double role of Yearbook Sports Editor and Red Owl Feature Editor. ln Septem- ber, Jerry Mayer was elected to the Student Council Presidency. And so it was on January 25. that we received our diplomas. Outwardly we were happy, but inwardly there was a deep feeling of regret. We may say sincerely that we have strived to do our best. We only hope that we have succeeded in bringing honor and prestige to the Prep. FRANCES JOHN BRADY Intramurals l, 2, 3, 4a Forum 23 Student Council l. This cheerful, well liked Prepster, one of the Bay Ridge Brady's, is popularly recognized as t e Dick McGuire of the intramurals. He hopes to open a business of his own some- day. We're sure Frank will be a great suc- cess. Lots of luck at St. John's School of Commerce, Frank! Cuddles, the Bill Stern of the Prep, has always entertained the opinion that the crew cut is the epitome of style. Frank is well known for his football tactics on the bas- ketball court. Gerry, a suave gent from Flatbush, and casanova among the fairer sex lso he saysl can be seen at every Prep function as long as his model T holds out. A clear thinker Gerry possesses undeniable qualities of lead- ership plus a winning smile, both of which have won for him innumerable friends at the Prep.
