RETREAT December 5, 1957 found the students of St. Iohn's beginning their annual retreat, Meditative reading, rosaries, appropriate sermons and Holy Mass constituted the rule for three prayerful days. Mary's mantle hovered over all as a protective canopy. Rapt attention characterized our retreatants and thus inspiration was gained at all the conferences. Our corridors echoed with silent hushed footsteps these days. The spiritual benefits derived, we hope, will be reflected in our future lives. Left: Father Leo Clifford, our retreat master, inspired each individual to the greatest height - sanctity. A good confession essential for a worth while retreat A perfect culmination to these days - Mass and Holy Communion.
