For his unflagging interest in all our problems, for his constant fatherly efforts in our behalf, we are truly grateful. In compliance with the declara- tion of His Holiness Pope Pius XII, hs, by his exemplary life as a Priest, Educator and Pastor has really made religion the basis of our education. we leave St. John's with the highest Catholic principles and ideals and shall strive to be what he expects us to be-- Catholic msn and women Hin deed and in truth...n Ex fl ,. 15' , 'L 5 .ia 1. 5 3 0l elfU0l X! 9 X. wq X 19577 Q iw J J R -521410 L n W 6 X N we I Jesus therefore saith to the Disciple: 'Behold thy Hother.' Are we not the sons and fl 1, chughters of this Apostle of Paradoxes? K JU X' Was he not the Son of Thunder and yet NI012 the Beloved Disciple? During our four ,QS golden years here at St. John' High School, we have learned to be sons of XX thunder in our fidelity to our Chris- ?' tisn faith, and gentle Apostles of love Q and charity in our dealings with our fellownan. We are conscious that we must not be merely bearers of the word but doers. May our lives ever reflect the message of that Disciple whom Jesus loved ' My little children, let us not love in word nor in tongue but in deed and Q, in truth ... Thy fame shall endure for aye.n A Teacher builded a temple With loving and infinite care Planning each arch with patience Laying each stone with prayer, None praised her unceasing efforts None knew of her wondrous plan, But the temple the Teacher builded Was unseen by the eyes of man. Gone is the Builder's temple, Crumbled into the dustg Low lies each stately pillar, Food for consuming rust. As Juniors, they have continued to distinguish themselves in curri- cular and extra-curricular activities. In intellectual prowess, Ammina Reinders, Marie Moore, Patricia Paddenburg, Peter Rader and Mary Sousa have consistently proved them- selves Honor Students. With the production of UPeg O'My Heartu, several Juniors exhi- bited their histrionic ability most competently. In school publica- tions, the Junior names have been most prominent. Talent in all fields of endeavor, coupled with pep and school spirit makes us look to our Juniors for greater things. Mfwggw W P JM M' Qzafwc H7 Lf Ny , iq Qw-'H , ,.
