St. Johns High School annually celebrates Homecoming with a full week of activities, including exciting Hdress-upy' days, lunch hour competitions, a bonhre, a Homecoming Day Parade, a game, and a dance. Monday of this year 's Spirit Week was designated as Backwards Day , lpeople who usually wear their clothes inside-out looked normal!! and the Freshmen won the 'Bub- ble Gum-Pie Eating Contestl' that afternoon. Tuesday was Switch Clothes Day, and boys could dress up as girls and vice-versa. lBrian Winters and Tom Primrose were excep- tional-looking young ladies!! Seniors defeated the lower classes in the noon 'tMarshmallow Contest . Wild Hair and Makeup was the theme for Wednesday and numerous students shokingly displayed their outrageous attire. The Seniors once again won the competition at lunch, which was 'AHug and Pop . lThis event allowed students to hug one another in order to pop a balloon between them! Wonder what Mr. Udall thought of all that undue familiarity?.U Wednesday night ended with a traditional bonhre and spirit rally. Thursday many Redskins were seen to be wearing the opposition 's colors on Purple and Gold Day. The 1'Ska- teboard Relay at noon was won by the Juniors. True blue Redskins celebrated the big day Friday by wearing their own colors of red and white. Hrst on the halls was taken by the Seniors, second by the Juniors, third by the Freshman, and fourth by the Sophmores, At the parade later that after- noon floats were judged with Sophmores first, the Juniors, Seniors, and Freshman following.
