You have faithfully served in this school 15 years by teaching and working with grade school pupils. This is a picture of our school today which has an enrollment of 463 students and is supervised by a superintendent, a principal, 17 teachers, Z custodians, 1 office secretary, 2 excellent cooks and a man in charge of transportation. This is a big contrast with the old school that was dismantled about 1919 and that set behind the present school. This old school contained 5 rooms, and an enrollment of approximately 150, and 4 teachers. The high school was for a three year term. Miss lviartha Culler was the last principal of this old school and the first principal of the present main building which was constructed in 1919-1920. The first graduating class was in 1920 and consisted of three students, Marzeta Leiter Barger, Doris Collins, and Loren Rebman. This building consisted first of six rooms and a combine gym and audi- torium, later the shop, science and home economics rooms were added on the first floor. The new school annex was added in 1938-39. This contained the combined gym and auditorium, library, three class rooms on the second floor and five rooms on the lower floor. fOne room was added on the second floor in 1953.1 just previ- ously to the building of the school annex the curriculum was enlarged from the straight academic course to include vocational agriculture, vocational home eco- nomics,1commercial and academic courses. This program was largely started under Mr. C. W. Handley's supervision and later carried on by the following school principals! Mr. Gillalin,-I. C. McCullough, and W. S. Barger, who have acted as superintendents since the school annex was built in 1938-39. At the pre- sent time the school is operating to capacity.
