Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow The first annual Social Studies fair was held November 17, at St. John ' s Gym. Approxin ately 300 students participated. 1) Receiving ribbons for their contribution to the fair on minorities , (L-R) Kathy Hiett, third place; Glenn Bertling, first place; Leslie Kunz, second place. 2) American government winners among the Seniors were, (L-R) Annette Lang, first place; Kathy Hempfling, second place; Glen Rosendale, third place. 3) Current Events awards went to, (ROW 1: L-R) Cindy Grothouse, Theresa Fuerst, Miriam Young. (ROW 2: L-R) Linda Wilhelm, Daina Clark, Linda Pohlman. 4) Ribbons were presented to (L-R) Cyndee Pohlman, Cindy Scarr, and Roberta Mesker in the American History catogory. 5) (L-R) Shellie Heitz, Dennis Beining, Chris Lehmann, and Tony Adams were awarded for their work in Early American History projects. Also receiving awards were Irene Siefker, Cinda Davey, and Karla Gerdeman. They did their projects relating to American Government. I41TIJ ' Miir 22

Never-Never Land 1) Linda Wagner, Kathy Siefker, Anita Morris and Miriam Young sell candy to the kids on Children ' s Day. 2) Nancy Kaverman works at one of the booths during kids day at the festival. 3) Tereasa Fuerst and Linda Wilhelm take care of the children while their mothers help in pre- paring for the festival. 4) Les Wamiment must be a popular choice among the kids. 5) Joe Klausing spins the Golden Wheel as Rick Kaskel announces the winners. 6) Ans de Roode contem- plates the rules of the ring toss. 7) Paul Baldauf doesn ' t mind his shift at the Candy Wheel. 8) Janet Drerup and Noreen Kundert must have found a winner at the Golden Wheel! 21

KIMDKRMI I niSEASKJ) i 1) Senior Vicki Ludwick chose Muscles and Physical Fitness as her topic for the Science Fair. 2) Laurie McGue proudly displays her project on our Daily Food Needs . 3) Pointing out the Grim Statistics of Alcoholism is Linda Pohlman. 4) Skin Cancer Causes was the topic sophomore Mary Kay Pohlman chose . The annual Science Fair for 1977 was held March 13. Directors for the day were Mr. KenBurgei, Mr. Dan Hopkins, and Mr. Paul Wiechart. There were 168 projects and of these, 62 were superior ratings. Thirty- seven of these 62 went on to District Science Day at Ohio Northern University on April 2 . Sixteen superior ratings were received, and Mark Wellman won the Johnny Clearwater Conservation Award . The State Science Day was held April 16 in Columbus.
