He was ordained a Priest at Holy Rosary Cathe- dral on June l8, l943. After a summer assignment at Sandusky St. Mary's he has been stationed at St. John's, and has taught at St. John's High for thirteen years. Om U O Z FR. RICHARD MILLER, a new teacher on our staff, comes from Lima St. Rose Parish where he was born in l925. He received his A.B. degree at St. Meinrad's Seminary and was ordained at Holy Rosary Cathedral in Toledo, in l95O. He came to Delphos from St. Peter and Paul's Par- ish, Sandusky. He teaches Junior Civics, Soc- iology and Sophomore Religion. 6 rw t 'J 605 ' ' Our Principal, FR. EDWARD C. HERR, was born in Huron, Ohio on February 24, l9ll. He grad- uatedfrom St. John's High School, Toledo, Ohio. He attended St.John'sCollege, Toledo, received his A, B, degree in l932 from St. Gregory's Sem- inary and hisM.A. in Philosophy from MountSt . Mary's Seminary in l936. He was ordained June 6, l936. From Columbia Universityin New York he received his M.A. in English in l938. Since September 25, l938 he has been an assistant at St. John's Parish, a teacher in St. John's High School, and Directorof Athletics. ln September, I943 he was appointed by Monsignor Reineck as our Principal. This is the world headquarters of the Sisters who have staffed St. John's school for the past eighty years. In this Generalate resides Mother Mary Vera, Superior General of the Or- der. This Congregation consists of 34l2 Sisters who staff 29l foundations in eight countries throughout the world: United States, South A- merica, Holland, England, Germany, Indonesia, India, and Italy. In the United States the Notre Dame Sisters have three Provinces: Toledo and Cleveland in Ohio, and Covington in Kentucky. The nine Sisters who staff St. John's High School and sixteen in St. John's Grade School belong to the Toledo Pro- vince whose 327 Sisters staff twenty-seven schools in the Toledo Diocese. Mother Mary Eventia, a former teacher of Delphos St. John's, is Provincial Superior with headquarters on Secar Road, in Toledo.
