This year’s Homecoming festivities were held on October 26, 1984. The Blue Devils’ 14-6 victory over the Kingstree Bollweevils put everyone in a celebratory mood. And celebrate we did, at the homecoming dance immediately following the game. Before the game, the homecom- ing floats built by each class were judged. The sophomore class won the float competition, with second place going to the senior class. During half time, Miss Tami Drawdy was crowned Homecom- ing Queen and Miss Sharon Smith was crowned Football Sweetheart. Miss Drawdy was sponsored by Scott James and Stanley King sponsored Miss Smith. Homecoming 1984 was truly a night to remember.
