Being chosen as a Wofford Scholar gives selected students a chance to visit the campus for tests, interviews, and possible scholarships. Students selected this year are Lisa Lane, Monica Warsaw, Karen Chapman, and Rick Rushing. Not pictured Terry McLamb. Tfcewuf St. John's High School is fortunate to have among its seniors Merry Morgan. Merry has participated admirably in many events state and locally. Some of her many achievements are: South Carolina Junior Classical League President. South Carolina Association of Student Councils 6th district Chair- man. William Randolph Hearst Award. State winner in Latin III. American Legion Auxiliary Palmetto Girls' State. Danforth, I Dare you leadership award. The Converse Honors Program in Spartan- burg gives deserving female students the opportunity to compete for a scholarship. Michele Jones is the girl selected for this year’s competition. The eligibility requirements for the program included a recommendation by each girl’s guidance counselor. Pictured are Terrie Dycus, Michele Jones, and Kay Smith. 20
