When the class of ’75 stepped into the halls of St. John’s High School, we were greeted by the teachers, as well as our friends. One of these teachers constantly kept us in line. Closeness would come later but first we had to learn to cope with the responsibilities of high school. Her fav- orite sayings were “Spit out that chewing gum and sign this card!” or “Get quiet, class!” Because of our evil ways, we spent a majority of our time with her in Detention Hall. It was only her way of helping us ma- c ture and develop ourselves to meet the future. Our tenth grade year, she became a friend as well as an instructor. Many of us confided in her and as a result we shared more than a mere student-teacher relationship. Time passed and our class progressed to the eleventh grade. Her thoughts, deeds and actions stayed with us. She attended all our class meetings to assist us with our plans and de- cisions. She was always there, ready to lend a helping hand. She ad- vised when we needed advice, and she criticized when we needed criti- cism. Her help was always appreciated and needed. Although we were juniors, we were still unable to make all our decisions alone. Now that we are ending our final year at SJH, she is still supporting us. Our friendship remains but has grown much deeper. It has develop- ed into something greater which is love. This is why we, the Class of 1975, dedicate the 1975 Blue Devil to you, Mrs. Catherine Moody. DEDICATION 2
