THE BLUE DEVIL 1973 St. John’s High School Darlington, S. C. WANDA HAYNES MIRIAM ANDREWS Business Manager KAREN CAMPBELL WILLIAM E. DEWITT Co-Editors Advisor DEDICATION You have brought many of us through the Dark Ages and Napoleonic Wars to face the problems of the world today. Also, with your help, we are better able to accept the challenge of modern living. We admire your dedication to teaching. Though at first your stern expressions and lengthy lectures frightened us, we soon found you to be a true friend who was concerned and cared about students. We are thankful for the times that you stood up for us and backed us when others were afraid to let us assume responsibility. We thank you for your faith in us. It is with sincere love and respect that we, the Senior Class of 1973, dedicate the 1973 Blue Devil to you, MRS. However, there are a few things that make each year different. We tried to capture these various occurrences for all to remember in the 1973 Blue Devil. We hope that this annual does not cause too much disappointment. Realizing the impossibility of pleasing everyone, we tried to work around things that would please the majority. We extend our sincerest thanks to our advisor, Mr. William E. DeWitt, our right arm, Mr. Jack Dearhart, Mayor Frank Wells, and to all those who worked to make this annual possible. 'Ha v.Orv, 200
