Ike dUue Oexnl 1Q 68 CO-EDITORS: Mary Demetrious BUSINESS MANAGER: Amanda Darga Judy Frank ADVISOR: Mrs. John T. Langston DEDICATION Four years ago we began a walk that now is ending. Though we stepped out on to the path, fearful and uncertain, we have not walked alone; for you have been there beside us to comfort, to guide to teach and to inspire. When we were afraid, you showed us there was nothing to fear. When learn- ing seemed impossible, you spoke to us and we listened. When we were depress- ed and our spirits faltered, your gaiety and enthusiasm lifted us higher and high- er and we soared. Today, when we read, we have an understanding of and an appreciation for both poetry and prose which we would never have dreamed possible. Our lives are better lives for the role that you have played in them. Through your efforts, some measure of truth, sincerity, humility, and joy has been instilled in our lives. We regret parting from you and wish to leave some tangible evidence of our appreciation, so we the members of the class of 1968, with heartfelt gratitude and a store of cherished memories, dedicate the 1968 Blue Devil to you Jltrs. C iza6e Ji Grain 2 Mrs. Ervin shows concern for our learning, but more importantly, for us as individuals. She is young and vivacious, and we consider her a friend as well as a teacher. She inspires us to seek the answers for ourselves. It is for all of this that we will remember Mrs. Ervin throughout our lives; she has been an inspiration to us. 3 CONTENTS PROLOGUE ...... 6 ADMINISTRATION .. 16 CLASSES......... 26 HONORS.......... 58 ACTIVITIES...... 64 SPORTS.......... 92 FEATURES........116 EPILOGUE........128 ADVERTISEMENTS .136 COMPETITION AND ACTIVITY PEOPLE...
