.Weld Sports. HE first field sports for some years were held on the athletic field May 15, 1897. They were quite a success, and were enjoyed by an enthusiastic crowd. Notwithstanding the fact that the Seniors won by a large score, all the contests were very interesting. All the classes in College were well represented, particularly the Seniors, as is shown by the score, they making forty points.
