Gym Provides Olbportunities For Student Recreation St. john's modern native stone field house is located at the intersection of Seventh and College Streets. The main floor area of this building is constructed to allow for two 84 by 50 foot basketball courts, three volleyballcourts, eight bad- minton courts, or a one-wall handball court. The gym also houses two locker rooms for men and Women and 1,200 square feet of space for gymnastic and Wrestling appa- ratus, a classroom, team roomsfor both Academy and College basketball squads, a training room, drying rooms, and of- fices for the physical education staff. Collapsible bleachers in the main floor area have a seating capacity for 900 persons. When bleachers are installed on the north side, the total space available will accommodate l, 850. The building includes the necessary plumbing fixtures for an outside swimming pool, but no plans have been made for building the pool in the immediate future. The large parking lot south of the gym - nasium provides parking space for 88 cars and is also used for physical education activities. Rob Srnallwood performs on the trampoline.

REHWI KEL HALL 'Where the Bqzs Are' Describes Rehwinkel Hal! Rehwinkel Hall, named after Alfredlvl. Rehwinkel, former President of St. john's College, is the college men's dormitory. It was erected in 1916 and rem odled in l946. ln addition to providing ifacilities for approximately 100 students, the building houses the counselor's apartment and office, a recently refurnished chapel, a private prayer room, a lounge, and snack room . The basement serves the kitchen and cafeteria needs for both college and academy students.
