McNulty are all thc qualities indicative of a true successor of the apostles. As the ecclesiastical head of the Diocese of Paterson, he was our spiritual counselor, and as a man of wisdom we turned to him for guidance in secular matters as Wcll. Although a busy man with his many executive duties, he always found time to take an interest in our social and academic events.

As Christ is to the Catholic Church, so is the pastor to his parish. XVith each year spent in St. john's we have come to know our pastor, Monsignor YValtcr H. Hill, in a more intimate way. Al- though his concern is mainly with the financial and spiritual well being of the parish, he cannot he separated from our student activities. The name, Monsignor Hill, is almost synonymous with St. Iohnis. Right Reverend Monsignor WALTER H.
