Ancl We'll Never Forget These Moments Can this be the iron curtain? Definitely not! In Appreciation Producing the Viannite for 1959 was quite a chore . . .it took hours that might have been spent doing the things we could have enjoyed more . . . but we gave them up, worked till the wee hours on quite a few occasions. Deadlines . . .well . . .we almost made them. . .there were times when it looked rather discouraging. . .but somehow we managed to come through. Our hats are off, and we want to acknowledge the many fine people who helped us make this book possible! First, to Mother Verona, who despite our cutting things up and creating rather an untidy room, managed some- how to smile in her wonderful manner. . .and through it all, wished us the best. To Mr. Goguen, our Advisor . . .golly how he could take it. . .his patience with us was something we'll always remember. . . Thanks for leading us through the wilderness of journalism to the pastures of a com- plete book. To Mr. Weatherly, our printer, who helped us in many ways . . .and who stayed a bit too late one night. . .remember? Who will ever forget that last deadline . . . ? Despite it all, we're through.. .this ends our story, and thanks to each and everyone who worked on the drive, the sales, the layouts, the copy, the many things that made up this book. We're ever grateful. . .may God be as kind to you, as you have been to us. Gail Lemere, Editor-in-chief. Miriam McCormick, Activities Editor Jim Boike, Sports Editor. Joanne Stanton, Business Manager. Mr. Goguen, Advisor. 99
