An early touch- down and field goal gave the Criffins a 10-0 victory. The following three games put the Big V into high gear. With the offense rolling, Mercy took a 34-0 beating. The Lmdefeated Kennedy Celts were squelch- ed 34-0. DeAndreis suffered a 4-7-6 ponmding.

A crowd of over 3,000 was on hand to witness the CAC showdown battle as the Griffins hosted the DuBourg Cavaliers. After a scoreless first half, the Black and Gold ripped through the DuBourg defense for a 26-0 score. This was the sixth shutout of the season for the Griffins. Then came Chaminade. Playing too conservatively the Griffins eked out a 7-7 tie, enough to clinch the CAC crown. The final game of the year was a 42-8 drubhing of St. lVlary's Dragons. W b ,,i:i Sf s ,M 5 Q9 f VV -Q .
