Vianney Homecoming '74 Is Weekend to Remember Friday, October 10 started a Homecoming weekend that produced some pleasant memories that will not soon be forgotten. On Friday night, the Griffins gathered together for a fine Homecoming Dance. With a theme of the Far East, and the music of Bluestone ll, the Homecoming Queen and her Court were announced. The Homecoming Queen was Karen Wilson from Ursuline Academy. Members of the Court were Sue 0iD0l1IlCll, Lisa Hoffman, Donna Gielow and ,lean Jensen. Saturday night was the PEP RALLY. At the rally, the football team was introduced. Afterwards, everyone could ca Q ,h V , . 6. 4 ,A Q . M A . - i in Q 4 W L, ,S A ,i Af.. Q . H , a t ar ' V n . 'w i'1 i: Q'f'7' A ... a t ' E 4 Vw. Bottom Right: Bob and Lisa make an appearance at the dance. 34 take his frustrations on a l964- Ford Falcon. This idea proved to be a smashing success. This provided the needed spark to ensure a victory over the Aquinas Falcons. Sunday, Coach Don lleeb did not let the football team forget last year's loss to Aquinas. With a strong crowd to cheer the team, the Golden Griffins handled the Falcons much more easily than the 10-0 score indicated. Tackle Gerald Chambers was named MVP of the game for his fine performance.'This Homecoming Weekend proved that Vianney is truly NUMBER ONE.
