Speech-Debate Under the coaching of Bro. Towers the speech and debate teams gained much success and prominence. They topped the area schools in most competitions. Seven members comprised the group: R. Greubel, C. Werner, B. Smith, J, Murphy, 1. Randall, T. McVey and 1. Holleman. The highlight of the season was when Joseph Murphy took first place in the State Optimist Oratorical Contest. Band and Glee Our incomparable band was once again directed by Nlr. Noble. His dynam- ic and powerful showmanship made Vianney's symphonic players a credit to the music industry.
