Masses Unite Students Since Vianney is a Catholic school, it is customary that the student body come together once gt month to celebrate the lfucharist. This year's Masses were truly something to remember. School Masses were held in the gym to eomtnemoratc some special feast ol' the Society ol' Mary, or at holy day ol' obligation or the week of Christian Unity. ln addition to the sehool's chaplains: l-'r, Piekarski, Fr, Mayer and Fr. Tobin. priests from the various parishes around Viamiey were asked to say the mass for the student body. Musie at the Masses was usually provided by the students, with the help ol' Bro. Lootens and Mr. Noble, Preparations for the Mass and the choice ol' themes and readings were handled by the students. All of this made it possible for the students to become participants in the Mass and not just observ- ers. The Masses were just one more way in which the Unity ot' Vianney was expressed and without which the school would be missing something vitally important.

The l three major dances of the year were the Back-to-School, the Thanksgiving, and H Winter dances. Besides these and prob- ably more popular with the students were the five soc-hops following various basketball games. t y Not only did the dances add to the QA social life of the student body, but also supplemented the Student Councills in- come.
