'k. we igrinciiaa On behalf of the faculty of St. john Vianney High School we offer our sincerest congratulations to the Class of '58. It has been a distinct pleasure working with you and we hope that the cardinal and grey will long linger in your thoughts. In its Latin root meaning, education means to lead or bring out. No doubt you feel you could have done better in the last four years of your high school training. That your best has never been realized. This dissatisfaction with one's self is good. It goads us to greater efforts, to strive for perfection, morally and intellectually. Even St. Thomas Aquinas was never satisfied with his work or his life. We feel, however, that the fundamentals of a happy and healthy Christian life are firmly in your grasp. The faculty and your fellow students of the other classes will be watching your progress in the future. May our Holy Father, St. Dominic, who conceived his mission as a torch lighting the lives of others with the fire of Christ-like activity, inspire you in your efforts to realize the fullness of your potential for goodness, not only in your own life, but in influencing the lives of others. May Our Blessed Lord and His Holy Mother guide and protect you. God bless you, William Moore, O.P. Principal 'W
